Privacy Policy

Effective October 22, 2026

Grail Watch is a browser extension that watches Grailed for listings you describe and alerts you when one appears. This policy explains what it handles and why. The short version: your grails stay in your browser, and the only personal information that leaves it is your email address, used to send you the alerts you asked for.

What stays on your device

Your grails (search terms, filters, sizes and prices), the matches found, and your settings are saved in your browser's extension storage. They are not sent to Grail Watch's servers. Removing the extension deletes them.

Searching Grailed

To check for new listings, the extension sends your grail's search terms from your browser directly to Grailed's search provider (Algolia), the same way grailed.com does when you search there. When you visit grailed.com, the extension reads the public search key from the page so that searches keep working. It does not read anything else on Grailed and never acts on your Grailed account.

Email alerts (optional)

Email alerts are off unless you sign in with Google. When you do:

Who processes the data

Grail Watch does not sell your information, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone else.

Your choices

Turn email alerts off or sign out any time in the extension's settings. Signing out removes your email address from the extension. You can also remove Grail Watch's access in your Google account settings. To ask a question or have anything deleted, email hello@grailwatch.app.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
